Hard at Work

Levi spends each Friday at work with mom. He needed to send a very important fax one morning.
After touring the office to make sure business was running smoothly he needed to send some emails. :)
(He loves keyboards. I tried to get him to play with a keyboard that was not plugged into a computer, but he knew it wasn't the real deal.

Everyone I work with welcomes a Levi visit. Friday's are happy days, not just because they usher in the weekend, but becuase Levi is there to bring smiles, laughs, and happy distractions to all.
After a hard day's work at the office there is still work that needs to be done at home. Here Levi is helping dad tighten the bolts on the dining room chairs.

9 Months!

One of our snowy weekends in the Burg. Levi wasn't a fan of the snow once it started falling in his face. We only spent a few minutes outside.
Levi is an expert at opening cabinets as well as pulling things off the coffee table and the pantry shelves. We decided to keep the bathroon door shut from now on since we are getting tired of cleaning up after him.
He is a very happy boy most of the time, but especially in the tub. He loves to splash.
Levi got into the Valentine's Day spirit and sported a red shirt at church.

Your Opinion Matters

Okay, we have decided to exploit Levi and enter his photo in a type of, "I Have A Pretty Good-Lookin Kid Contest" and we are having a difficult time, A. Getting a Good Shot and B. Picking the Best Picture. They suggest a close-up headshot looking right into the camera lens. We haven't really been able to get a good one of those, but we have these 4 that we like. We'll still try and take more shots the next few days, but we wanted to get opinions. Which of the following 4 shots do you think we should submit?

Shot 1-he has food on his shirt, but he looks pretty dang cute.

1.

Shot 2. You can see his beautiful eyes, but he's not looking at the camera. This is Sloan's favorite so far.

2.

Shot 3. He has a great smile in the one and again, isn't really looking at the camera. This is Josh's favorite.

3.

Shot 4. Well, this isn't one of our favorites, but you can make out his features pretty well and we don't know everything, so this one is thrown in.

4.

Please let us know what you think we should do. If we get any more great shots over the next few days we will certainly add them and get your opinions again.
THANKS EVERYONE!

Levi's Christmas

Levi got an Anywhere Chair from Pottery Barn...as you can see he really enjoys it.

We knew he wouldn't really get into the idea of tearing open presents, but he had some fun.

Look at all of this stuff!

Gettin Ready for Christmas

Levi picked out the first ornament to go on the tree.
He and the Purdue snowman became fast friends. :)
Levi showing off our Christmas tree.
He said, "I LOVE this bright, shiny addition to our living room. I enjoy looking at while lying on my changing pad."

Grand Illumination Weekend

We enjoyed Colonial Williamsburg's Grand Illumination at the Capitol this year. Levi was a very good sport and didn't seem to mind being in the cold for over an hour. It was about 45 degrees, so not as cold as many other parts of the U.S. Sunday evening. ;)

He enjoyed the fireworks in a snazzy white snowsuit. Only his cheeks were cold at the end of the night. I thought the fireworks were pretty amazing.

Levi loves his dad. Josh decided to take a short break from Finals preparation tonight and played with Levi and I for a while.
(I uploaded this post as well as the Gettin Ready for Christmas post from Picasa and must say I was very pleased at the speed and ease of doing it this way.)

Our Little Crab

Levi's first Halloween was spent at the Outlet Mall in Williamsburg. It was about 68 degrees...warmer than any Halloween I ever experienced as a child. We live in a condo complex with mostly retired people and Trick or Treating doesn't happen. In years past our church has hosted a Trunk or Treat, but didn't this year, so on a friend's recommendation we decided to go where Levi could be seen in his costume and where mom and dad wouldn't feel too bad about taking candy for a 6-month old.

My mom made his costume. Josh and I wanted something aquatic since he really enjoys his sea horse and fish toys, so we decided on a crab. I am proud to say that I quickly made his candy bag. I also added some scenery to his stroller to make it look like an ocean. I just brought out a few of his toys and a blue blanket to look like water. It was fun. While trick or treating at the 12-15 stores we went to he was mistaken for a lobster and a devil, but that's okay.
He really had no idea what was happening, but it was fun for our family. After we got home I left the room to grab his pajamas and came back to find him enjoying the "fruits of his labors." I wasn't planning to do a photo shoot with his candy, but it ended up being really fun to watch him have fun for about 10 minutes before getting ready for bed. Maybe next year he can savor a piece or two of his well earned candy and not just the wrappers.

(Sorry the pictures are displayed haphazardly...I still haven't quite figured out the fine art of blogging.)
