Hard Workers (Sept. 2011)

While we stayed at my mom and grandma's we got a taste of what home ownership is like.  Its hard work.  Josh undertook the task of repainting some stairs at a side entrance to the house.  Levi was a great helper, as you can see.  They did a nice job and were proud of their accomplishment.  I don't have before and after shots, so believe me when I say, they do good work!

Campers! (August 2011)

The Booth Boys decided to camp in the back yard after enjoying a Sunday night hot dog roast.

Josh likes to camp and was excited to see what Levi would think.

Well, they had a lovely evening.  They stayed outside the entire night and were anxious to try it again.

Way to go, Josh and Levi!  I'm happy to send you camping whenever you want, just don't ask me to come along! ;)

Puddles are Wonderful (August 2011)

Do you know any 2-year olds that don't LOVE puddles?

Happiness is being allowed to get wet while dressed.  (I no longer feel that way at 30, but I'm glad he can enjoy it.)

Nauvoo (August 2011)

Here's Levi inside Brigham Young's house.  Like the scratch?  He fell down the porch steps at home as we were heading to the car for our trip.  It was sooo sad.

He wanted to go inside the temple so badly.  He and grandma had a nice time about town while mom and dad did a session.  We hadn't been to Nauvoo since we were married there in 2006, it was nice to be back.

It was a short overnight trip, but we had a lovely time.

The Nauvoo Temple is just beautiful.  Its a special place for us, indeed.

Hail to Old Purdue! (July 2011)

You have to take a drink from the Lion Fountain.  Thanks Melissa, for the help.

Levi and I met Melissa, Mia, and Landon at Purdue in July.  We enjoyed visiting some fountains, playing in grass, and eating lunch at the Engineering Fountain.

It was fun to take Levi to Purdue.  He could say it so well.  Can't you just picture him there in 16 years?!

Meadowbrook Park, Champaign-Urbana

This is Meadowbrook Park in Urbana, IL.  At least I think its Urbana.  Looking at the background if this happy little guy swinging only shows part of its greatness.  I've never done the art sculpture trail around it, but the park is so great for children of all ages.  I took Levi twice while we lived in the area and he loved it.   It had stairs and swings-he doesn't need much more than that to have a great time at a park.  (I even played here as a teenager.)

Water Painting

Like the humidity in this shot?
He was so hot and sweaty after about 20 minutes.

Water painting was an activity I found on moneysavingmom.com

GIving Levi a small bucket of water and a few different paint brushes and giving him the freedom to paint just about anything was a real treat for him.  He was able to paint the siding on the house, rocks, stairs, wood, his wagon, and even the car.  I would definitely let him do it again. You can do this virtually unsupervised outside. We'll do it again!
